NEWS, 26 July 2021 Sales launch of residential project PANDION ALBERTUSSEE in Düsseldorf-Heerdt

With the PANDION ALBERTUSSEE project, inner-city living space is being created in the west of Düsseldorf to meet the high demand for apartments in the state capital. Today, Cologne-based project developer PANDION is launching sales of the first phase of construction, with 89 apartments for sale.

On the site of around 42,000 square meters in the Heerdt district, a total of around 750 residential units are planned by 2027 - including around 440 condominiums by PANDION. The neighborhood will be supplemented by affordable and publicly subsidized apartments as well as three daycare centers. Construction is expected to start in April 2022, with completion of the first condominiums scheduled for summer 2024.

„At the Albertussee, we are starting the realization of one of PANDION´s most exciting projects at the moment - urban living in the immediate vicinity of the lake. The high-quality residential quarter combines nature and city in a trend-setting way. In this way, we are making an important contribution to further revitalizing Heerdt“, says Klaus Küppers, Cologne branch manager of PANDION. „The clear unique selling point is the inner-city location on the one hand and extensive green space with embedded lake and new lake promenade on the other.“

The Horten department store group formerly resided at the site. The Albertussee is four hectares in size and is located in the immediate vicinity of the Heerdterhof-Garten green space, a popular local recreation area. Heerdt is also characterized by its immediate proximity to the Rhine. Adjacent to it is the Oberkassel district, which is notable for its prime location, among other things.

The designs for the condominiums of the PANDION ALBERTUSSEE are the result of an elaborate architectural competition. The special feature is that two renowned architectural firms have won the competition. The Düsseldorf office of HPP Architekten has been commissioned for the planned block development; the planned point buildings are the work of the Hamburg office of Hadi Teherani Architects. Both concepts are distinguished by their individual architectural language, which together form a harmonious overall concept.
