Plans for the first OFFICEHOME in a central city centre location in Cologne are taking shape

ASTOC Architects and Planners win the architectural competition for our property at Altenberger Strasse 1a. This project has a gross floor area of 11,000 square metres and is located on Breslauer Platz, in the immediate vicinity of Cologne Central Station. We purchased the property from Raiffeisen Waren-Zentrale (RWZ) in 2022, which is expected to continue using the site as its Rhine-Main administrative centre until early 2025. Completion of our high-quality new office building under the OFFICEHOME brand is scheduled for 2028.
About the competition
A total of eight renowned offices submitted their designs. The building design by Cologne-based ASTOC Architects and Planners was the most convincing. The design forms a forward-looking urban building block that radiates a strong sense of independence in a heterogeneous environment and blends harmoniously into its surroundings. The façade construction, the energy concept and the extensive utilisation of the roof area suggest the highest standards in terms of sustainability for future working environments.
