On the brushes, get set, go!

September 2023

The square in the center of our Bonn housing project PANDION VILLE was recently given a colorful touch of paint. On a sunny Friday afternoon, the residents of the first two already completed construction phases as well as the buyers of the third, still under construction, came together in the center of the quarter. The main task of the afternoon was for the children to give one of the wooden play elements of the future neighborhood square a personal touch.

For this purpose, we provided waterproof paints suitable for wood, as well as brushes and ladders, in order to give the little artists the opportunity to give free rein to their imagination and to actively help shape the neighborhood. Freshly baked waffles, coffee and cold drinks provided for the physical well-being.

In addition to various project participants, our NRW branch manager Klaus Küppers and Friederich Sahle from Sahle Wohnen were also on site. After a short welcome, the landscape architecture firm Greenbox explained to the children what exactly had to be done. Afterwards, the little artists set to work with great enthusiasm and joy. They were also supported by their parents and grandparents.

We would like to thank everyone who was involved in the planning and implementation of this day!

About the project

PANDION VILLE, a new and modern residential quarter, is being built in a park in the Duisdorf district of Bonn. It is characterized by its proximity to the city center, but above all by its location in a green area. PANDION is building a total of 394 condominiums in three construction phases at this location according to the designs of the Cologne-based firm Römer Kögeler und Partner Architekten. In addition, 143 publicly subsidized apartments are being built by the company Sahle Wohnen. In the western part of the site, a municipal daycare center is planned, in the eastern part commercial areas will be developed, and centrally there will be public playgrounds and green spaces for residents and the neighborhood.

The third and final construction phase is currently on the finishing line and is expected to be completed in spring 2024.
