August 2020
As a real estate fair based in NRW, the polis Convention offers once a year a space for networking and exchange on central topics of urban and project development. This year again, the intention was to hold this industry-relevant event despite Corona - as a digital trade fair.
On August 13 and 14, the digital premiere of the polis Convention took place. Under the motto "Changes", it offered exhibitors* and visitors* a programme of virtual lectures and discussion rounds on topics related to the "City of the Future".
Thus, "Changing Perspectives" was joined by programme items such as "Mobility turnaround between everyday life and innovation" or "Rethinking living - innovative concepts, processes and actors". This year, the exchange did not take place in analogue form, but via chats and video presentations, live talks, and a visit to the exhibition hall, which was reconstructed using 3D technology.
Also, PANDION supported the project to transform the congress into a digital format and was represented as a booth partner of the City of Cologne and the Bundesverband Freier Immobilien- und Wohnungsunternehmen (BFW NRW). In the concluding discussion entitled "P.S. We love you - Lebens- und Liebenswerte Stadträume", PANDION board member Reinhold Knodel spoke with four other participants* from the industry about successful project developments and examples from urban spaces.
