Following a successful kickoff with a small reception, demolition work began at the end of January. An important milestone has already been reached: Building B, the front building on Silberburgstraße, has been completely gutted and demolished. Building A is currently being demolished and will also be completely gone shortly. Then the construction site will be clear for the next steps. A special highlight before demolition began was the creative farewell to the existing structures: In collaboration with young graffiti artists from all over Germany, an extraordinary street art gallery was created in the rear building for a few days. Under the direction of Stuttgart-based artist Naddi Christin Zschiesche, the building was temporarily transformed into a space for ephemeral art, an impressive transition from the old to the new.
