Shell construction of OFFICEHOME Rise and PANDION NEXT successfully completed

July 2024

At the beginning of July, we celebrated the topping-out ceremony for two new construction projects in Düsseldorf: the 70-metre-high OFFICEHOME Rise office tower and the immediately neighbouring PANDION NEXT residential project in the Unterbilk district. The two projects belong together and form a new connection between the Medienhafen and the Lorettoviertel district via a publicly accessible boulevard. Completion is planned for 2025.

The topping-out ceremony was opened by a welcoming speech from First Mayor Dr Stephan Keller, in which he emphasised the importance of the project for the city. In a subsequent panel discussion, PANDION CEO Reinhold Knodel, together with Cornelia Zuschke as Councillor for Planning, Building, Housing and Property of the City of Düsseldorf, representatives of the future major tenant Ernst & Young in OFFICEHOME Rise, the architect Caspar Schmitz-Morkramer and PANDION NRW Branch Manager Klaus Küppers spoke about the opportunities of the project for the state capital. In the presence of around 320 guests, the traditional topping-out speech was given by Züblin and the topping-out wreath was raised in the OFFICEHOME Rise courtyard, before the evening ended with a get-together with live music and Rhineland specialities.

"With our two projects OFFICEHOME Rise and PANDION Next, we are setting new standards for urban living and working spaces in Düsseldorf. Between the Medienhafen, which is within walking distance, and the popular Lorettoviertel district, a piece of the city is being returned to its residents in a central location. By dovetailing living, working and leisure, we are creating a dynamic, future-proof neighbourhood that meets the highest standards of sustainability and quality of life," says Klaus Küppers.
