On 6 June, we celebrated the completion of the shell of the first construction phase of our PANDION ALBERTUSSEE project in Düsseldorf-Heerdt in bright sunshine. This construction phase contains 235 residential units and a day care centre.

Around 200 guests accepted our invitation, including the two architectural firms Hadi Teherani Architects and HPP Architekten GmbH, numerous trades involved in the construction and the future residents. After a brief welcome by Klaus Küppers, Branch Manager NRW at PANDION, representatives of the architectural firms spoke about the special features of the designs for the residential neighbourhood, which is located directly on the lake that gives the project its name. This was followed by the traditional topping-out speech by the shell construction company Kögel and the raising of the topping-out wreath. We ended the evening together with our guests in a relaxed atmosphere with barbecue catering, coffee specialities and cold drinks.

About the residential quarter

PANDION ALBERTUSSEE is located directly next to the Heerdterhof-Garten park and the name-giving lake Albertussee at the intersection of the two Düsseldorf districts of Heerdt and Oberkassel on the left bank of the Rhine river. Around 750 residential units will be built on a plot of around 42,000 square metres by 2028 - including 448 condominiums, which will be supplemented by affordable and publicly subsidised flats.

With the new residential buildings, PANDION is contributing to sustainable and attractive neighbourhood and urban development - guided by the highest standards in terms of the urban, architectural and functional quality of the properties. The project, which is being realised to the Efficiency House 55 standard, recently received the coveted “DGNB Quartier Gold” pre-certification. The sustainable overall concept includes communal gardens, an intensive green roof, a near-natural shoreline design and the development of the lakeside promenade, which creates a pleasant microclimate.
