"The winning design by Grüntuch Ernst Architekten is characterised by its contemporary and sensitive response to the location and its economically efficient building structure," says Mathias Groß, head of our Berlin office. "The façade made of perforated aluminium convinces with its elegant lightness, which at the same time allows light permeability and intimacy for the staff*."
Over the next few years, 16,000 square metres of high-quality, modern office and commercial space will be built there. Construction is scheduled to begin in spring 2024. After OFFICEHOME The Shelf and OFFICEHOME The Grid, this is already our third urban development on Moritzplatz in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
Congratulations to Grüntuch Ernst Architekten and many thanks to all the other participating offices in the competition for their outstanding submissions: Henning Larsen, Planquadrat, HPP Architekten, Kollendt Waldschmidt Architekten, Hadi Teherani, J. Mayer H. und Partner and Ortner & Ortner Baukunst.
