Brightly coloured mandala motifs now adorn the former car dealership in Berlin´s Prinzessinnenstraße. The future OFFICEHOME location has temporarily transformed into a cultural space. More than 75 guests from the real estate and creative industries came to the new networking event "STADT/GESPRÄCH". The association Transiträume Berlin e.V. is behind the event, which PANDION supports together with other partners. The aim is to bring the possibilities of cultural interim use of derelict spaces to life.

"Culture needs space, but space also needs culture," says Alexander S. Wolf, second chairman of the association. "In Berlin, at least 250 areas lie fallow that could be used for art and culture. We want to raise this great potential for cultural life." It is not only the cultural workers and art fans who should benefit from the interim uses, but also the neighbourhood and the whole city.

To strengthen the neighbourhood and its socio-cultural scene in the surrounding Wassertor quarter, we are therefore offering various spaces on a total of 1,800 square metres free of charge for neighbourhood-oriented interim uses until 31 December 2023. The programme will include exhibitions, theatre projects, readings, installations, markets, pop-up stores, events and much more. Subsequently, we will realise a modern office building under our brand OFFICEHOME at the same location.

Anyone interested in receiving information about the various possible uses and the associated requirements is invited to participate in our open call. The utilisation requirements and operational description can be requested by e-mail at, stating the project work title, organisation or personal name. Usage proposals must be submitted in full no later than 31 March 2023.

The board of trustees consists of Leslie Frey, art historian (M.A.), Mareen Jedro, theatre scholar as well as art and cultural manager (M.A.) and Eva Nieuweboer, communication manager (B.A.) as well as cultural and cultural tourism manager (M.A.) and PANDION PR-Manager.
