PANDION celebrates the start of the "Himmel unter Berlin" exhibition series

April 2022

At the opening of the spectacular underground exhibition series "Himmel unter Berlin" on 22 March 2022, PANDION took invited customers and business partners on a journey into the Berlin underground. Until 10th April, around 6,000 guests will visit a vault that is normally not accessible to the public.

The exciting and impressive setting of around 3,000 m² was only revealed to the guests after they had visited a bar and passed through a guarded cupboard door. The previously unseen, expansive light and sound installations were developed by 14 international artists for this extraordinary space.

The exhibition and temporary use was made possible by the cooperation of the organisers of “Himmel unter Berlin” with the “Transiträume Berlin” association and PANDION. Us and all those involved are particularly interested in reminding us of the cultural added value that the interim use of vacant properties can offer to art and artists as well as to society.

The 360-degree multi-sensory and multi-media installation "INSIDEOUT," pictured above, is by award-winning design studio flora&faunavisions, led by founder and creative director Leigh Sachwitz. She has been creating international and multimedia works including temporary spaces and immersive art events for 20 years.
The impressive installation was one of the highlights of the exhibition "Himmel unter Berlin", which gave visitors* a very special experience. While being inside or outside the installation, one witnessed a technical natural spectacle.
