September 2020
"My neighborhood, my studio" is the title of the art gallery, which is in PANDION THE GRID CABINS for two weeks in September. The five original transformer rooms are located directly next to the developing industrial building PANDION THE GRID in the district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg.
Roberto Uribe-Castro, who himself has lived and worked in the neighborhood for many years, is the first artist to take the opportunity of temporary cultural use in PANDION THE GRID CABINS. With his installations, the Colombian-Dutch artist wants to capture the forces and relationships that have shaped the neighborhood in its physical presence and in its social, political, and economic constitution.
The gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. until September 27, and Uribe-Castro will talk about the background of his work on site.
Further information on the gallery can be found in the current press release (DE).
