PĀN – Cologne Ehrenfeld

Where heavy industry and scrap metal recycling once dominated the scene, a vibrant, forward-looking urban quarter will be created for Cologne-Ehrenfeld in the coming years. On around 17.5 hectares, we are combining living and working with education, culture and local amenities and creating a new ‘neighbourhood’ that rethinks urban life. Based on the designs by CITYFÖRSTER and urbanegestalt, a neighbourhood with a strong character is being developed here that combines urban density with versatile open spaces. A lively Ehrenfeld mixed-use development is planned on a gross floor area of 300,000 square metres - with around 1,700 flats and up to 4,000 office workplaces. An urban ‘shopping mile’ forms the vibrant centre, while a 1.5 kilometre-long mobility street serves as the innovative backbone of the traffic planning. Learn more about our vision for Ehrenfeld:
